I will give you privacy to undress, and you will be professionally draped with a sheet and blanket at all times. What do I do during a massage therapy treatment?
Make yourself comfortable. If I need to adjust your position, I will either move you or ask you to move to a more comfortable position. The average full body massage treatment lasts one hour. A 30 minute appointment only allows time for a partial massage session, such as neck and shoulders, back, or legs and feet. Many people prefer 60, 75 or 90 minute sessions for optimal relaxation. It is also a good idea to allow relaxation time before and after the session. How will I feel after the massage therapy treatment?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity, which can last for days. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues during a massage, it is recommended that you drink plenty of water before and after your massage. How often should I get a massage?

Most health insurance will not cover massage therapy, but your PIP (Personal Injury Policy) on your car insurance will usually cover massage therapy if you are involved in a car accident and get a prescription from your doctor. I have the training and experience to bill insurance companies. Most car accidents result in soft tissue damage and muscle strain; therefore, medical massage therapy is covered in the state of Kansas.
