After twenty years as an office supply sales representative, in 1997 I retired my high heels and business suits and enrolled in massage school.
The Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy (CIMT) in Colorado Springs provided me with the tools I needed to become a professional. I have an 1150 hour certification from CIMT. I am also a Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist via the International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapies (IANMT).
I had my own practice in Colorado Springs from 1998-2005, where my client base included Olympic athletes (the Olympic Training Center is located there), grandparents, and even several grade-school children with special conditions.
I moved to Topeka, Kansas with my family in the summer of 2005 (my husband is a professor at Washburn University). After working for six months at a local salon, I opened my own practice. I treasure my relationships with all my clients, and the special role they allow me to play in their personal wellness programs.
I have three wonderful children that are grown and in various stages of adulthood. My passion (besides massage) is horseback riding.
Massage therapy has changed my life. Every morning when I wake up I look forward to my day and the people I will be seeing in my practice. I hope to be able to help people for many years to come and continue to learn and grow through my profession.
